Hi new friends!

My name is Sarah, and I’m a self-professed DIY junkie. In my free time, I happily lurk in craft store aisles and on Pinterest boards, planning the next projects and recipes I’ll try. Some would call me a “crafter”, but I dislike that word (is it just me? It sounds weird, right?), mostly because it doesn’t fully describe what I think being the “DIY type” really means. To me, it’s about a little voice deep down in your guts that says, “Dude, you can totally make that!” when you see something that truly inspires you. I have a love/hate relationship with Martha Stewart, and a love/love relationship with Mary Berry from the Great British Bake Off. I drink far too much coffee, and also not nearly enough coffee. I’m a maker, baker, shaker (cocktails y’all!!), oh, and I’ve been told my affinity for glitter can sometimes get out of hand…as if that’s even possible.

And now I have a blog.

I work full-time during the week, so my DIY time is limited to Saturday and Sunday, when I’ll usually grab a HUGE cup of coffee (see above), set up shop in the guest room of the apartment I share with my husband, G, in Roswell, GA, and get to work doing what I love. For a while now, I’ve been jokingly referring to the extra room as my weekend workshop, so picking a name for this blog was pretty easy. In this special little space I hope to share my love of making with fellow DIY-ers, Pinterest junkies, and yes, even you crafters too. If you stick around, you’re in for creative ideas and projects of all shapes and sizes: crafts I’ve dreamed up and those I’ve found on my favorite DIY blogs, simple cocktails, and delicious, easy recipes.

So stick around, ok?

XO, Sarah
